Remember, I just report the stories – feel free to comment!

According to a completely unscientific survey a 4.25% margin of online readers of the Atlanta Journal and Constitution say the expect Georgians to elect a Democrat Governor. Keep in mind a couple of things: early opinions may be coming from people who have no idea what a Governor actually does. Additionally and historically the Atlanta Journal Constitution has been very Democrat friendly.

The results are not a surprise for many reasons including we have no idea who is even going to round out the field. Since major party candidates have until May 2010 to declare and minor party candidates can declare all the way up until primary election time in July we really do not know who the front runners will really be.

Early indications point towards John Oxendine as the Republican front runner but I can say for certainty his campaign manager is rubbing some influential grass roots activists the wrong way. Ken Cook will be working with the American Liberty Alliance to develop and finalize one-on-one interview questions in a discovery process to see where their thousands of members will apply their focus.

Somehow it doesn’t surprise me the survey from the newspaper calls for a Democratic candidate win.

I am interested to see where the prospective candidates stand on working with the state legislature toward passing a 10th Amendment resolution.

The Constitution puts the power in the People’s hands, and we need to ensure that anyone we elect as our public servant understands that.

I live in Georgia…..I don’t think a Democrat has a snowball’s chance of winning the Governor seat or any other open seat in the 2010 election
